Privacy

My Guitar Setup has no accounts and asks for no personal details. This page explains the little that is counted, and what stays on your own device.

Visitor statistics

Only if you allow it, we count visits with Umami Analytics, a privacy-friendly service hosted in the EU. It uses no cookies and stores no personal data or IP addresses.

We count which pages are visited, and a few actions without personal details: a guide started or finished, the step reached, whether a guide fixed the problem, which symptom was picked in Diagnose, and which 3D view was used. Never what you type, your measurements or anything you play.

With the same permission, Vercel Speed Insights, part of our hosting, measures how fast pages load and respond (for example how long the main image takes). These measurements are anonymous and use no cookies.

Without your permission, nothing is counted and the statistics script isn't even loaded. You can change your choice at any time:

Microphone (tuner)

The built-in tuner listens through your microphone only after you turn it on. The sound is analysed in your browser and never recorded, stored or sent anywhere. The microphone is released when you pause the tuner or leave the page.

Stored on your device

Your browser keeps a few things locally, so they're there next time: your guitar's measurements, your progress in the guides, and your analytics choice. They never leave your device. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.
